Dr. Crystal Loh

Dental Resident/ Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Crystal is our veterinary dental resident who is working towards specialising in veterinary dentistry who started her residency in 2018. She has shifted with her family to Australia from off a dairy farm in New Zealand to work directly under the mentorship of Dr. David.

Crystal graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in Canada in 2007, and completed an internship at the University of Tennessee Knoxville before moving to New Zealand where she practiced for 9 years, first as a mixed animal practitioner, before transitioning to small animal where she developed her love for dentistry. She has participated and assisted in multiple voluntary veterinary and animal rescue ventures across the USA, Spain, New Zealand and Tonga.

She ran a dental referral service in Hamilton, New Zealand for 2 years and obtained her membership in Small Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery through the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in 2016. Wanting to further her interest in dentistry at the highest recognisable level on a global scale is what led her to pursue specialisation with Dr. David.

She has a particular interest in maxillofacial surgery and fracture repair.

In her free time, she enjoys photography, getting into the great outdoors, eating good food, swimming and spending time with her husband and son. She thoroughly enjoys being a “tourist” in Victoria and welcomes any suggestions for things to go check out! They also own two rescued special needs cats, Wiggles and Squid, who have a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia affecting their balance.
